CJP-Farmer protest to cripple Delhi train services and severely disrupt travel for thousands of daily passengers across the National Capital Region on Saturday. Consequently, security authorities instructed transit operators to implement extensive operational shutdowns ahead of planned demonstrations on October 10. Furthermore, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), and Northern Railway issued joint disruption advisories on Friday.
Commuters face major hurdles as DMRC and Namo Bharat close stations
Specifically, DMRC closed entry and exit gates across 56 metro stations starting at 9:00 PM on October 9. Meanwhile, interchange facilities remain open at all affected locations except the New Delhi metro station.
Additionally, NCRTC halted operations at Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat stations until 10:00 PM on October 10. However, regional Namo Bharat services between Anand Vihar and Modipuram continue running as per schedule.
