Textiles PLI Scheme Announcement - infra Insiders

Govt to reopen textiles PLI scheme for new applications starting November 1, 2026, aiming to boost domestic manufacturing across man-made fibres and technical textiles. Specifically, the Ministry of Textiles announced that Round 4 applications will remain open through December 31, 2026. Furthermore, this initiative seeks to attract fresh capital investments, generate employment, and strengthen India’s position within global supply chains.

Relaxed eligibility criteria and extended tenure for manufacturers

To encourage wider industry participation, the government reduced the minimum turnover requirement from Rs 200 crore to Rs 100 crore under Part 2. Consequently, more mid-sized manufacturing units and MSMEs can now qualify for the incentive program.

Additionally, successful applicants under Round 4 receive an extended operational tenure stretching up to Financial Year 2033–34. Therefore, participants gain a longer investment horizon to scale up their production capacities successfully.
