Fulfilling a long-standing demand for travelers, pilgrims, and migrant workers, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal have flagged off a new daily direct train service between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Sawantwadi Road.
Operating as Train Nos. 15087/15088, the service covers a distance of roughly 510 km with extensive stoppages, providing vital connectivity across Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg. Featuring modern LHB rakes, the train runs on convenient overnight schedules—leaving CSMT late at night and arriving in Sawantwadi by early afternoon, with return trips timed for early morning arrivals in Mumbai.
