Delhi Metro Diwali timings 2026 will change across the network on Sunday, November 8, as DMRC adjusts services for the festival. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced an early start on select lines and an earlier end to daily operations.
The revised schedule aims to accommodate early morning commuters. Meanwhile, it will allow passengers and metro staff to participate in evening Diwali celebrations.
Delhi Metro services to start at 6 am on three lines
Services on the Pink, Magenta and Grey lines will begin one hour earlier than usual. These services normally start at 7 am on Sundays.
However, trains will depart from their respective terminal stations at 6 am on November 8.
The revised early-start schedule covers:
- Pink Line: Majlis Park to Majlis Park/Shiv Vihar.
- Magenta Line: Botanical Garden to Krishna Park Extension and Majlis Park to Deepali Chowk.
- Grey Line: Dwarka Kakrola to Dhansa Bus Stand.
DMRC announced the changes through its official X account. The corporation confirmed that the revised timings apply specifically to Diwali Sunday.
Last Delhi Metro trains to depart at 10 pm
DMRC will also advance the last train departure across all metro lines. The final services will leave terminal stations at 10 pm instead of the usual 11 pm.
The revised closing schedule also covers the Airport Express Line. Therefore, passengers should account for the earlier departure when planning evening journeys.
The change will help accommodate Diwali celebrations while allowing staff and commuters to participate in festivities.
DMRC advises passengers to check revised schedules
DMRC has advised passengers to plan their journeys in advance. This will help them avoid last-minute inconvenience during the festival.
Additionally, commuters can access real-time updates and detailed timetable information through DMRC’s official website and social media channels.
Passengers travelling on November 8 should check the revised timings before leaving. The changes apply to the specified Diwali date.
