NPPA revises prices of 543 anti-cancer medicine brands following a comprehensive trade margin rationalisation drive aimed at making critical oncology therapies affordable. Specifically, the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority released the updated maximum retail price list under the Department of Pharmaceuticals on Wednesday. Furthermore, the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers confirmed that these newly reduced MRPs will officially take effect on November 9, 2026.
Trade margin rationalisation drives steep price reductions
The price revision directly stems from the pricing regulator’s October 17 decision enforcing trade margin rationalisation across 137 non-scheduled anti-cancer drugs. Consequently, this policy intervention caps excessive supply chain markups to protect cancer patients from prohibitive treatment expenses.
Additionally, the revised MRP list incorporates pricing data submitted by pharmaceutical manufacturers up to October 27, 2026. Therefore, the government will continuously update the public portal as manufacturers submit additional revised rates for non-scheduled oncology formulations.
| Key Anti-Cancer Brand & Molecule | Previous MRP (₹) | Revised MRP (₹) | Primary Clinical Indication |

Broad coverage across critical cancer therapies
The 137 targeted molecules cover a wide spectrum of essential modern cancer therapies. Specifically, the list includes advanced immunotherapy drugs prescribed across more than 20 distinct cancer types.
Additionally, the rationalised list covers Denosumab for breast and prostate cancer, Pegfilgrastim for preventing neutropenia, and Bevacizumab for colon and cervical cancers. Therefore, as NPPA revises prices of 543 anti-cancer medicine brands, millions of patients across India will gain immediate financial relief from burdensome medical expenses.
