Andhra Pradesh’s Tadepalligudem railway station received projects worth ₹45 crore for modernisation under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme on Friday. Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathiraju Srinivas Varma inspected the site in West Godavari district. Furthermore, South Coast Railway (SoCR) General Manager Sandeep Mathur and Vijayawada DRM Mohit Sonkia joined the high-level review.

Specifically, the redevelopment plan includes constructing a new Road Under Bridge (RUB) to ease local traffic. Additionally, railway authorities will develop improved access roads connecting the station to major commercial thoroughfares.
Meanwhile, Tadepalligudem town has emerged as a major commercial trading hub across the Godavari region. Consequently, proximity to the National Institute of Technology (NIT Andhra Pradesh) drives increasing daily passenger volume.

Leaders demand Vande Bharat and Garib Rath stoppages
Furthermore, Minister Srinivas Varma submitted formal requests to railway officials for key express train stoppages. Specifically, he urged authorities to approve halts for the premium Vande Bharat Express and Garib Rath Express trains.
Additionally, Jana Sena MLA Bolisetti Srinivas requested officials to consider halting 18 distinct trains at the facility. Therefore, as Tadepalligudem railway station modernisation accelerates, local infrastructure will significantly improve passenger travel experiences.
