Mumbai-based conceptual practice EuMo Spatial has unveiled its master planning and architectural design for a major luxury project in North India. Specifically, EuMo Spatial aims to design FHR Wilderness Lodge Chandigarh as an immersive, landscape-led golf hospitality retreat situated along the edge of the Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary. The integrated brand experience design firm directed the master planning, architecture, interior design, furniture creation, and landscape integration to establish an ecologically sensitive destination.
Landscape-led masterplan creates low-density luxury cottages near sanctuary
Furthermore, the design team structured the spatial layout as a low-density retreat where guest cottages coexist in visual harmony with expansive golf greens. Every architectural placement responds directly to the natural terrain contours, providing uninterrupted wilderness views and total privacy.
Additionally, the development features eight specialized cottages containing various high-end guest accommodations. The central common area houses shared lounge spaces, a dining pavilion, a pantry, a bar, and an infinity pool overlooking a natural water stream.
| Facility Component | Architectural & Structural Specifications |
| Standalone Cottages | 6 dual-room cottages featuring semi-open entrance porches |
| Specialty Suites | 1 Presidential Cottage plus 1 private 2-bedroom cottage unit |
| Private Amenities | Dedicated kitchen, outdoor gazebo, and private swimming pool |
| Central Social Hub | Dining pavilion, shared lounge, bar, and outdoor infinity pool |
| Hidden Infrastructure | Subterranean service functions integrated beneath dining spaces |
Colonial proportions meet contemporary restraint in sustainable hospitality design
Meanwhile, the visual style combines timeless colonial-era proportions with clean contemporary restraint. The practice utilized natural materials, muted color palettes, and custom furniture to reflect the surrounding forest ecosystem. Thus, the deliberate design sequence slows guest movement and enhances sensory engagement with changing natural light.
Therefore, Harkaran Singh Grewal (Gary), Co-Founder and Director at EuMo, emphasized that the architecture purposefully yields to the surrounding environment. He noted that true luxury finds enduring expression through spatial proportions, natural light, and quietness. Consequently, EuMo Spatial is going to design FHR Wilderness Lodge Chandigarh to form a continuous, harmonious dialogue between built structures and the natural landscape.
