The Wudhomes pre-seed funding round has raised ₹2.5 crore for the Bengaluru-based home-furnishing startup, with venture capital firm AJVC leading the investment, according to a media report.
The round also saw participation from Seekho co-founders Rohit Choudhary, Keertay Agarwal and Yash Banwani, alongside other angel investors.
Founded by Vasu Arneja and Aditya Singh, wudhomes is developing a business model that connects design inspiration, product discovery, personalisation and purchasing. The startup aims to simplify the process of turning home-design ideas into furnished living spaces.
The company plans to use the capital to develop its technology, build a vertically integrated supply chain, improve its retail experience and strengthen operational capabilities.
Wudhomes Funding to Support Technology and Supply Chain
Homeowners often draw design inspiration from social media, online platforms, showrooms and personal recommendations. However, translating those ideas into a finished home can involve multiple decisions around furniture, layouts, budgets, product compatibility, purchasing and delivery.
These steps frequently require customers to coordinate with different retailers, designers and vendors. wudhomes aims to bring these activities together through an integrated home-furnishing model.
Its approach combines digital product discovery, personalised recommendations, spatial visualisation, physical retail outlets, home visits and supply-chain integration.
Furniture remains the startup’s initial focus. However, the company plans to expand into other home-furnishing categories as it develops its offering.
The latest capital infusion is expected to support the technology and operational infrastructure needed to connect these services
