National highway projects awarded increased 62.9 per cent year-on-year to 2,236.3 km during April-September FY2026-27, according to the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI).
The increase points to an expansion in the pipeline of highway infrastructure development, supporting connectivity and logistics efficiency, the ministry said in its latest PAIMANA Performance Dashboard update.
The dashboard tracks infrastructure performance across key sectors using standardised indicators. Its latest quarterly update includes data from the respective ministries, departments and official publications.
Electronic toll collection transactions rise 24.1%
Electronic toll collection (ETC) continued to expand across India’s road network during the first half of FY2026-27.
