Adani Enterprises Director Pranav Adani declared that infrastructure must always have a human heart during a speech on Thursday. Specifically, he described the Dharavi Redevelopment Project as a people-first urban transformation initiative. Speaking on the project, he emphasized creating modern housing before relocation while safeguarding thousands of local micro-enterprises.

Furthermore, Adani linked the initiative directly to the broader economic framework of “Mumbai 3.0.” He stated that transforming Asia’s largest informal settlement will build a balanced, inclusive, and connected metropolitan region.

“Our approach is people first, ensuring dignity, creating modern housing before relocation, formalising and safeguarding thousands of micro enterprises, and transforming Asia’s largest informal settlement into a vibrant, integrated economic hub without displacing the community’s soul,” Adani noted.

Additionally, the Dharavi Redevelopment Project forms part of Adani Group’s massive Rs 6 lakh crore investment blueprint in Maharashtra. Specifically, projects worth Rs 2.6 lakh crore are already completed or under active execution.

Meanwhile, the group operates Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and Adani Electricity Mumbai. The group is also constructing the Navi Mumbai International Airport, alongside major energy and data centre projects. Therefore, Adani reaffirmed his group’s long-term commitment to drive industrial growth and citizen dignity across the state.
