Hyderabad’s premier startup incubator, T-Hub, has forged a strategic alliance with the Central Command of the Indian Army to accelerate the deployment of homegrown defence technologies in active military settings. This collaboration establishes a direct bridge between deep-tech innovators and frontline personnel, allowing startups to test, refine, and deploy operational solutions under real-world conditions.
Core Framework: How the Partnership Works
Under the agreement, the Indian Army’s Central Command will share specific, real-world operational challenges directly with T-Hub.
- Startup Identification: T-Hub will source, vet, and mentor deep-tech startups capable of building tailored solutions for military requirements.
- Joint Oversight: A dedicated steering committee—composed of leadership from both T-Hub and the Indian Army—will oversee execution and facilitate on-ground interactions between founders and military personnel.
- Feedback Loop: T-Hub will assist startups throughout product development, system integration, and field validation, ensuring prototypes quickly transition into operational, military-grade assets.
This partnership expands T-Hub’s strategic footprint within the armed forces, building upon its existing operational engagement with the Indian Army’s Western Command.

As one of 28 nodal implementation partners for the Ministry of Defence’s Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) program, T-Hub has established a proven track record in military innovation:
- 100+ defence-focused startups mentored to date
- 70+ iDEX challenges hosted
- ₹250+ Crore in commercial defence contracts secured by ecosystem startups
- ₹9 Crore delivered in Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects
- ₹4.2 Crore disbursed in grant funding
